Wow! It Just Hit Me; I’m In Love With You!

Posted by tpegonline on February 28, 2014

This sonnet is about accepting the fact that you are beyond head-over-heels for someone; you’ve fallen in love with them.

The art piece below is called Close to You, by Fred Matthews. Make sure to check out his site by CLICKING HERE.

Thoughts of you keep me awake at nighttime.
Pleasant thoughts that bring a smile to my face.
Some of the thoughts I have should be a crime;
Daydreaming of us in some far-off place.

20. Mathews, Fred - Close To You
Your voice is a sweet song; joy lost and found.
Amidst troubled waters you’re my lighthouse.
Solid ground; you lift me up when I’m down.
A fiery passion that none douse.

Why do I get so nervous and so shy?
Stumbling over my words; wanting a taste.
Soft and Wet kisses; You’re Making Me High.
I am running back to your arms with haste.

The dawn of a new day; grass moist with dew.
Wow! It just hit me; I’m In Love With You.

New pen name/alter ego

Posted by tpegonline on February 3, 2014

Hey there, folks.

Staring today, I will sometimes use an alternate pen name; Langston Shakesbro.

The name is to pay homage to two of my favorite poets: Langston Hughes; and Williams Shakespeare.

I will be penning more sonnets and short stories that I want to make plays and short films, so the name is appropriate.
